IMac Hello Beautiful

IMac Hello Beautiful

From any view, iMac is impressive. But little compares to sitting in front of the glossy widescreen display framed in amazingly slim anodized aluminum. iMac instantly turns your workspace from a cluttered desktop into a brilliant display podium.
Power on a pedestal.

iMac sets the standard for elegance and power. It packs a complete, high-performance computer into its all-in-one design. With an anodized aluminum frame and glass cover, it’s striking to behold. And these materials are highly recyclable, so iMac is friendlier to the environment. The 20- and 24-inch glossy widescreen displays make photos and movies come alive with rich color. For an even better view, you can remove the stand and mount your 24-inch iMac on a wall with the VESA Mount Adapter Kit (sold separately) and see your photos and movies practically float on its big, beautiful screen. And with the stand removed, you save even more space on your desktop.

Nothing peripheral about it.

The ultrathin, sleek, and compact Apple Keyboard perfectly complements iMac. Its anodized aluminum enclosure features low-profile keys with a crisp, responsive feel. The keyboard includes special function keys for one-touch control of Mac features, and two USB 2.0 ports provide high-speed connectivity to your iPod, Mighty Mouse, digital camera, and other devices.

Distinguishing details.

With iMac, details make all the difference. For example, because it’s made from a single sheet of aluminum, you won’t see any seams or screws except for a single compartment on the bottom that provides easy access to the memory slots. The built-in iSight camera and microphone are integrated so neatly you barely notice they’re there — until you need them for a video chat.

Iphone Fun & Game

Your iPhone isn’t all talk. It’s up for some fun, just like you. Feed it with games from the App Store and keep yourself entertained for hours.

Drive like a caveman.
Cro-Mag Rally Icon

Download Cro-Mag Rally and get behind the wheel of a prehistoric hot rod. Your iPhone is the steering wheel as you avoid obstacles and fire off primitive weapons like Bone Bombs and Heat-Seeking Homing Pigeons.

Ante up.

Go all in on the most realistic handheld poker game ever. Texas Hold 'Em pits you against virtual opponents or with up to eight of your friends over a Wi-Fi network. Read your tablemates' tells to win the pot and gain access to exclusive rooms with higher stakes. Drag your chips to go all in. Flick your cards to fold. Double-tap the table to check. And when you want to switch between first-person and top-down views, turn your iPhone to landscape or portrait mode.

Drop out.

Use your fingers to move and rotate bumpers, sliders, accelerators, and sponges that control the flow of liquid droplets in the puzzle game Enigmo. The game comes with 50 mesmerizing levels, and you can even download more for free — or create your own custom levels and share them with other players.

Roll with it.

Shake your iPhone to roll a hand in MotionX Poker, an amazingly addictive dice poker game. MotionX Poker simulates real dice movement and collisions when you shake your iPhone. Choose different styles of dice, view your statistics, and win virtual coins as you go.

Watch the 'Tube.

Those YouTube videos aren't gonna watch themselves. Luckily, there's a YouTube player built right into iPhone, so you'll never miss another surfing dog or morphing kitty. Tap the YouTube button to search for videos, or watch Featured, Most Viewed, Most Recent, and Top Rated videos. Then bookmark your favorites with a tap.

Play a spell.
Scrabble

SCRABBLE gets the iPhone treatment. Shake to shuffle your tiles. Drag and drop to spell. Pinch in and out to zoom in for a closer look. Pass and play with up to three other players. And give yourself some help when you need it with the "Best Word" system.

Camera phone image quality initiative

Camera phone image quality initiative : The International Imaging Industry Association (I3A) announced that its ground-breaking Camera Phone Image Quality (CPIQ) Initiative is now open to new participants. The announcement was made at the PMA 2009 show in Las Vegas last week. With CPIQ Phase 2 coming to a successful conclusion, additional interested companies are now invited to come on board during this Open Enrollment period, to influence the critical final phase of the project. Additionally, media and analyst representatives are sought for a CPIQ Media Advisory Board, who will advise the group on the development of a consumer-friendly image quality rating system.

Image quality for Camera phones
The overall goal of I3A’s CPIQ Initiative is to improve overall image quality in order to enhance the use and enjoyment of camera phones by consumers. CPIQ will accomplish this goal by providing a systematic approach for camera phone image quality testing and comparison methods to enable carriers, manufacturers and consumers to evaluate and choose the right camera phones for their imaging needs. The Initiative also seeks to promote growth of the camera phone imaging eco-system and to encourage consumers to take, share, print and enjoy images captured by their camera phones. The group’s ultimate objective is to produce a complete set of standardized image quality testing metrics and methodologies, enabling a consumer-oriented image quality rating system.

Camera phone image quality participants
• Advanced Micro Devices (AMD)
• NVIDIA
• Aptina Imaging
• OmniVision Technologies
• CDM Optics
• Palm
• DxO Labs
• Philips Lumileds Lighting Company
• Eastman Kodak Company
• Sensata Technologies
• Foveon
• Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications
• Freescale Semiconductor
• Sprint
• Fujifilm Corporation
• STMicroelectronics
• Hewlett-Packard
• Texas Instruments
• Image Engineering
• Tessera (formerly FotoNation)
• Micron Imaging
• Verizon Wireless
• Motorola
• Vista Point Technologies
• Nethra Imaging
• Zoran Corporation
• Nokia Corporation

Consumer image-quality rating system
Building on the accomplishments of Phases 1 and 2, the specific work of Phase 3 will be to develop a refined set of test metric procedures and processes, and to establish an approach and means for translating and distilling the essential set of metrics into a consumer-oriented image-quality rating system for camera phones. A logo certification program will be designed for later implementation. Those who are part of camera phone image quality Phase 3 will define the industry's first consumer image-quality rating system and will enjoy the marketplace advantage of being early adopters. Other benefits include recognition for being active on the cutting edge of the industry, and for contributing to bring these sweeping benefits to consumers.

Dedicated efforts and scientific expertise
"As we throw open the doors to camera phone image quality Phase 3, I want to recognize that our success to date has been made possible through the dedicated efforts and scientific expertise of many individuals, and I thank all of their companies for sponsoring this Initiative," said Lisa Walker, I3A President. "I encourage all of you in the imaging eco-system - large and small companies, in countries around the world - to join CPIQ and be part of this bold endeavor to address the camera phone image quality issue."
Measuring quality of camera phone photos
Phase 2's goals were to define a pilot set of specific objective and subjective test methods for measuring camera phone image quality attributes, and to provide specific tools and validated test methods to facilitate standards-based communication and comparisons among carriers, handset manufacturers and component vendors regarding imaging performance. Phase 2 deliverables are being prepared for publication this spring; their availability will be publicly announced.

Nokia N96 review

Nokia N96 review at LetsGoMobile : It is becoming more and more difficult for current manufacturers to put a unique mobile phone into the market. Many cell phones are equal when it comes to their functionality, and there are only minor differences between current models and their successors. Unlike a few years ago, when mobile phones were gradually taking on more functionalities of other devices. The Nokia N95 brought fame to Nokia, which eventually resulted in the N95 8GB version. The differences with the new Nokia N96 mobile phone have been highlighted in the following review.• Read the full Nokia N96 review at LetsGoMobile.

Nokia N96 digital camera
LetsGoMobile adds: "The integrated camera in the Nokia N96 features a Carl Zeiss lens and offers a resolution of 5 Megapixels. Pictures made with the Nokia N96 are excellent in comparison to other 5.0 Megapixel cameraphones. Colors are reproduced perfectly and the contrast is fine. One thing very noticeable is the digital noise that pops up if a too high ISO sensitivity is used in combination with a large amount of pixels on the tiny sensor, unlike regular digital cameras."

Nokia N96 includes mobile TV
LetsGoMobile adds: "Various providers have been offering mobile television for quite a while now. Two devices who were available right at the time of the introduction was an LG and the other a Samsung. Both mobile phones were not too enhanced, and as for the Samsung, you still had to pull out an external antenna. Now, the Nokia N96 is the perfect cell phone to watch mobile television. The quality of both image and sound is excellent. Switching between channels takes some time, however, not annoyingly. The most popular channels are at hand at any time this way. The range is reasonable; it is not always possible to watch television if calling is possible. However, with the recent introduction in mind, one can suspect the coverage to be extended. All in all, a very nice feature. Checking the news or watching your favorite program on the road is now made possible."

Nokia N96 review
The N96 is a long-awaited promising mobile phone of the Nokia brand. The internal memory of 16GB, the 5.0 Megapixel digital camera, FM radio, GPS receiver, HSDPA and of course, the mobile television function, make the Nokia N96 a fully equipped device. Just how well this cell phone functions in daily use can be read in the following Nokia N96 review at LetsGoMobile.

Samsung i900 Omnia announced, live pics inside

The highly rumored Samsung i900 is finally unveiled by Samsung. Called Samsung i900 Omnia, this Windows Mobile PocketPC seems as a strong competitor of the rumored 3G iPhone, which should be announced today too. Of course, the feature set puts it head-to-head with HTC Touch Diamond too. However we have the feeling that the HTC TouchFLO 3D might be a bit more spectacular than what the Samsung i900 offers.

Samsung i900 Omnia will be first displayed at the CommunicAsia expo held in Singapore from June 17 to 20 but all details about its specifications are already made public.

Based on Windows Mobile 6.1 Pro, the Samsung i900 offers a 3.2-inch WideQVGA display (240 x 400 pixels) and an optical mouse much like the one found in the Samsung i780. Camera-wise the Samsung i900 Omnia is one helluva amibitious handset - offering a 5 megapixel auto focus snapper with face and smile detection plus auto-panorama shot. Geotagging is also among the camera features since the i900 also packs a built-in GPS receiver.

As style has it, the Samsung i900 Omnia waistline is only 12.5mm and the brushed metal back certainly adds to its refined looks. That figure along with the other dimensions makes it rather identical to the Apple iPhone. Most importantly the i900 shares with the iPhone the same massive internal memory - both an 8GB and a 16GB i900 versions will be available with the microSD still present for further expanding those with up to 16 gigs worth of storage.
The specs sheet of the Samsung i900 is then boosted by the quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE support plus HSDPA 7.2Mbps. Thanks to the built-in accelerometer, the UI automatically rotates to follow the handset's current orientation. Wi-Fi support is also on board to make the i900 sound even juicier.

The USB port, FM radio with RDS and stereo Bluetooth (A2DP) are among the final touches to this loaded PocketPC.

And since touch-optimization is of critical importance when you strive to compete with Apple's iPhone, Samsung have also ported their TouchWiz user interface for use on Windows Mobile. We saw that Touch UI for the first time on the Samsung F480 and we surely enjoyed it.

The Samsung i900 Omnia will be market available from June 2008 (Europe - July 2008), which also coincides with the projected availability of the new 3G iPhone.

Since we had the opportunity to spend some time with the Samsung i900 Omnia before its official release, we can gladly provide you with some more detailed real-life shots as well as a 3D view of Samsung i900 Omnia. Enjoy!

Nokia introduces the new warranty sticker across Jordan
As part of its commitment to the Jordanian market, Nokia, the world leader in mobility, today introduced its new warranty sticker as a new and effective tool to ensure consumer protection.
Customer Care being a fundamental component of the trust that consumers have in the Nokia brand, Nokia is always looking at new and innovative ways to enhance the consumer experience across the market.

This step comes as an extra measure following the introduction of the Nokia country warranty in 2006 as Nokia is aware that the grey market products with no local warranty places the consumer at the mercy of unauthorized repairers who may not use Nokia original components and who will not have been trained according to Nokia high standards.

The products bearing the new sticker will be serviced at the authorized Nokia resellers - I2, Mabco and care points across the Kingdom.
